He was a founding partner of Traditional Mortgage for ten years. He is well respected among his peers and has served as president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia in Atlanta, as well as chaired the association's ethics committee. Slocum currently serves as the president of the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia in Athens. His high standards for work ethic and customer satisfaction won him acknowledgment by the Mortgage Bankers Association of Georgia as the "Top 10" of all Georgia loan officers in 2002.
